The Importance of Taking Your Medicine
At some point during your treatment, you may want to stop taking your medicine. Reasons for doing so many include the following:
- You haven’t experienced symptoms in a long time, and you are feeling better
- You may be disappointed with the lack of improvement in your symptoms
- You find it hard to take your medicine daily
- You may be having side effects. If so, talk to your doctor immediately
Remember that you can only help keep symptoms under control by following your treatment plan and taking your medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Talk to your doctor if you are experiencing side effects with your current treatment. He or she can work with you to make the necessary changes in your treatment plan.
